How do I enable 2FA on my account?

November 24, 2023

Achieve maximum security on your EPFX account using two-factor authentication.

What is two-factor authentication(2FA)? 2FA is a method of adding an additional layer of security to online logins. This prevents unwanted access to your account with EPFX even if your email provider like Yahoo, Google or ISP email has a data breach or maybe your pesky roommate is always using your computer while you're not home and you want to keep them out of your account. By enabling 2FA, you are ensuring that you and only you have access to your account.

Step 1: Log into your account.

Simply click the link above to be taken to the login page for the client portal. Input your user name and password and press login to be taken to your dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to the Settings tab.

Once logged into your client portal, select the "Settings" tab from the navigation menu on the left.

Step 3: Enable Multi Factor Authentication.

On the settings page, locate the "Multi Factor Authentication tab". On the right, slide the toggle from "Off" to "On". This will open a dialog window containing the necessary details for you to choose your preferred 2FA app using the QR code on your screen.

Step 4: Connect your preferred 2FA App.

Many of our clients prefer the Google Auth App or Authy App for their 2FA app. If you do not already have a 2FA app on your phone, navigate to the app store on your device and install one. Once installed, open the app and click the "Scan QR Code" button. This will open your devices camera. Aim it at the QR code shown on your screen. This will connect the 2FA app to your EPFX account. Then you will be prompted to input the code from your 2FA app into the field shown on the screen after you scan the QR code. Once you input this code, 2FA will officially be enabled on your account.

*You will be required to use your 2FA app to login, deposit, transfer or withdrawal funds. The rest of the platform, you may use without using your 2FA app.
